Ok, so we want to share things with you guys, “our tribe”, that we think are cool.
So some of you have probably heard of the band Death and if you have but didn’t share, I’ll be kinda pissed It’s been a bit of an obsession of mine lately. This music, I feel, was pulled from the great realm of pure inspiration and does not try to imitate.
Check out the trailer for “A Band Called Death: Before There Was Punk”
if you love punk music, as I do, you will find this bit of history amazing. It predates the RAMONES! It’s a story of pure creativity, determination, having a vision, and what I took from it was love. Love for what you do and the belief that the voice in your head to do what you were born to do must be done. To blaze that trail even if you don’t see the road because no one has traveled down that way before.
I totally hesitated sending this on our kid/family website lol but if you know me at all you know this is how I roll! Enjoy!!
And here’s a great article written about this great discovery in the New York Times.

Moments for the Mamas
It’s the little (random) things…
Every moment, every day, is so FULL these days and so I have committed to do something weekly that makes me pause. And re-member me! It’s been as simple as:
Having my whip detailed so I had something sparkly to look at upon walking up for my truck. Check in with This Is It Auto Wash and Detailing. I met them as I walked into class and they were detailing a client’s SUV. Ask for Mike or Gail. 323.682.2392. They come to your house. Great service, great job.
Venturing to the other side of the world, “east” to Relaxation Stations. Suffice to say you lay on a water table fully clothed and you come out feeling transformed. It’s completely worth the drive to get there. An added bonus, Lemon Poppy Restaurant a couple of doors down is phenomenal. – their baked goods are not to be missed.
Or getting my butt whipped into shape by Marine Anton at Barre Belle (thank you, Natalie, for hipping me to it!).
All it takes is a little of this and a little of that, to make a mama balanced and happy.
Sending Love,
Ashley
Playing For Change is a movement created to inspire and connect the world through music. The idea for this project came from a common belief that music has the power to break down boundaries and overcome distances between people. The true measure of any movement is what it gives back to the people. We created the Playing For Change Foundation, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to building music and art schools for children around the world, and creating hope and inspiration for the future of our planet.
